How do I Begin?

You can contact me by filling in the form on the contact page to set up a phone appointment to discuss your needs and interest in yoga therapy. I am available to answer any questions you may have that might help you decide if you would like to begin yoga therapy.

The initial yoga therapy consultation runs 90 minutes to 2 hours and includes your first practice. A follow up appointment is required a week later to refine and modify your practice based upon your feedback and the therapist's observations.

The first time I met with Anita for our initial consultation, I was in so much back pain that I could not walk, sit or stand for any reasonable length of time. As my range of motion was limited, the practice that Anita designed for me was so minimal and basic that I questioned whether this was the right thing for me. But with Anita’s patience, guidance, and optimism, I was compelled to return. With every new practice I learned new techniques and saw improvement. It is because of Anita that I am now able to do the things I used to do. Thanks, Anita!

Future appointments are based upon the support and guidance you may need and the progression of your practice. Students make appointments that range between one week and a month apart. Typically, a new student will initially come 4-6 times over a 3 month period and then space out their appointments according to their needs and progression. Long term students often come several times per year and students from out of town will often see me one to two times per year.
